*checking* The link doesn't work because TES Screenshot Library crashed or something few days ago and Tikkiz added some pics there when it "came back to life". Now there's three pics of Miiru again, and, as usual, this is best one of them. You can check the rest too if you want, they're named MVC-00somethingsomething. And now I got to go.

Just so that you're all fully aware of the position, and I'm sure Motoki won't mind me saying this, while he has decided to "take a break" from modding (for a while, I guess) and you will not be seeing official posts from him anymore, for some of the projects with which he was involved, he'll be continuing "in the background".
In particular, as far as Murder at Helios Keep is concerned, he's remaining as "official overseer" (and communicating privately) and myself, together with Vorwoda (as official plot consultant) will make sure everything moves forward.

He Who Watches suggested he would be pleased to accept a bit-part. Now I don't know whether or not this was said *tongue in cheek* (it's somewhat hard to see what he does with his tongue under that hood of his - lol) but I'm sure everyone will agree - he'd be the perfect messenger who comes to "collect" the PC if, after Xnumber of hours, he/she hasn't solved the mystery!
That outfit is superb. But, Calislahn, do you think you'd be able to render all of it (cloak & scythe)?

There are some hooded robes about, surely we want to see his face don't we? Or is it that bad (only joking mate ) i'm certainly willing to give it a go ;D I have Baal's farm mod but i can't remeber if it had a scythe, i know it had a pitchfork but that's not quite right for the messenger of death I'll look later because if it has i can just convert it to a weapon without needing to make one ;D It has one If i lengthen the handle and remove the sticking out bits i think this will work well. Is there a way to make a character keep there weapon drawn? It would be a shame if you never see it.

It's not perfect but it's a start ;D I didn't think about the fact his weapon wouldn't be drawn so had to punch him, sorry HWW i didn't mean it. You can't see the scythe too well but i was getting thrashed at the time so was the best i could manage Also there's no wrists

About making the weapon drawn...here's my idea, if you make it one-handed for parrying (aka a sheild), he will be prepetually holding it...the downside is that he cannot hit people with it...so it's an idea if he just appears (like Azura's ghost)...but otherwise it's bad... (of course, the positioning will have to be adjusted like on dual weild mods, but I know Cali knows how to do that...)

I've fixed the wrist problem, the problem was he hasn't got any in the first place ;D
So i made a new bp for the robe using the forearm mesh and it worked.
That isn't the robe we are going to use though, i'm just testing, your idea has merit bravo but i don't know what they are using him for yet.

Wow, keep up the good work, Calislahn.
I'll have to talk to Motoki about how we could fit this character in, but fit him/her/it in, I'm sure we will.
At first I was going to say we need a "head" (but who would lend their head to such a character?) On the other hand, in all my recollections of having seen the "Reaper" - not in RL of course (lol) - one never does see it's face!

Well being a big discworld fan i'm basing him off that version of DEATH. I just wish i could make his eyes glow, but i know nothing about glow maps and stuff

I remember playing the first Diskworld (think there were a couple more, afterwards) but I don't remember this character - mind you it was a good few years ago that I played it. If he has to have a face with glowing eyes, then so be it and I'm sure a part wil be found for him. OMG - I've just had the thought that we might try using him as the Butler! ;D

I'm making somekind of a story how the cats are protected (You know how some people treat their slaves. Well they won't do that with cats!), you know, me and oldie spoke something of this kind of spell in TES Forum. And the story goes somehow like this:
When the first cat entered the island of Vvardenfell from one cargoship, one Dunmer named *we need a name here!* took it to his/her home and left it there for a while. At some point s/he though what would the cat taste like, so s/he ate it and the first cat ever in Vvardenfell was given a horrible end.
After a few years later, three homeless cats walked in the soil of Vvardenfell - again, after a long cargoship journey. The Dunmer who ate the first cat didn't live at that place anymore - if s/he would look behind him/her just before a Slaughterfish attacked him/her, s/he wouldn't die. But the three cats were again taken to peoples homes. A Redguard kept his cat in a box for a while until he knew how the cat lives, what it eats and so on. The rest did the same except for the box. And so the three cats were officially the first living cats of Vvardenfell.
When there were more cats after 4 years, almost only the owners liked and kept cats. The rest people (except for Khajiits) hated them because they thinked cats own magical powers. Well, one cat owned but it was owned by a Breton so that isn't a surpise. That cat could walk on a water and levitate if it was stuck on a roof. People who saw that walking on the air or water were scared and that's why people hated cats and though they had mystical powers.
The catowners were target of discrimination. They couldn't by any food from the shops and I suppose you know the reason. They had to walk or use Teleportmagic because the Silt Strider service was denyed from them. Only the Khajiit traders could offer them what they needed, but with high prices.
Years passed by and there were over 100 cats in Vvardenfell. One Bosmer had enough of cats and made new guild which hated cats and killed them. In 3 months over 60 cats were killed by that organization. But that Breton woman, who teached her cat to walk on water and levitate, gathered all her powers to make a brand new spell which would protect the all cats which were still breathing. The spell worked like this:
It was activated just before a weapon or spell hit the cat. Immediately it created powerful forcefield surrounding the cat and gave cats ultimate combatpowers so the cat could rout the opponent or even kill him/her/it, and healing spell so it could heal it self it it was injured after all. The spell was ready and Breton casted it. Casting was so strong that the spell deplied all over the Vvardenfell and all the remaining cats were spelled (and one cat under attack survived just in time). The Breton cost great price for her love for cats: she turned very nice vegetable.
Years passed by again and people started to like cats. Some of the cats moved to better lands and island, only few remains at the moment. Nowadays the cats are more valuable than their weight of gold, and that's why only high and importand persons have them.
Something like that. Of course if you don't like Breton losing her brains, then High Elf will do the same ;D

Hi, just "updating".
How's the Reaper coming along, Calislahn?
On the "cat front", there are now two very reputable mod-makers working to produce this (one of which is none other than Lady Eternity!)
So, it looks as if Murder at Helios Keep is definitely going to have a (female) black cat included (and it's name will probably be Miiru Sherlock - still to be confirmed by Kimmo).
On the heads front we've had a bit of a setback (nothing serious). About 3 - 4 actors' files could not be used (and we're waiting on replacements) and Korana could not get herself "converted" to Bosmer, so will stay Imperial. Nevertheless, by Friday I'll be releasing a group picture of those actors we have.
Motoki is beavering away on the plot, which has now been finalized after some valuable additional input by Vorwoda.
The characterizations did not get sent out at the end of last week (because of the various organizational issues here alluded to). But once the group picture goes up Friday, we'll thereafter be circulating individual characterizations.
