I don't even have the mesh right now .. ...but here's a trick I use whenever I retexture something; just overlay your texture over another and use that as a guide, then when you're done del the layer with the "guide" texture and there you go! ...if you give me a link I'll dl it, load it into max and take a screenie of the UV mapping...if you want...

I have it somewhere Regan i'll email it to you, it's form the v.1 mesh but the mapping didn't alter It is awkward getting the sides to line up as the back is slightly higher than the front.

Many thanks for the UVmap Cali , I'll be experimenting with dxtex shortly. Do those two 'bits' between front and back serve any purpose ? They don't seem to show up in game. Here is a capture of my "Slave Furs" - texture courtesy of my dog. www.cuneo.us/tesmw/browse.php?img=SlaveFurs.jpg&dir=ReganI would would appreciate some (constructive) criticism .

Those look very nice Regan, i like them ;D Those bits in the middle seem to do a bit of the inside of the skirt near the bottom, now if you have covered those you may notice when you rotate your npc that you can see it, i'm currently trying to get rid of it on the fairy dress as i forgot If your skirt's full length then its fine to leave it but when you do short ones like you have you may need to add that bit to your alpha channel

The breast that side was always a pain, the other side is fine but i found with both vesions that bit warped if you didin't go above where the uv map says it should be. Are you still going to release that green one even if it's not perfect? it looks good enough to me

Hmm, interesting info that BB may be assymetrical.

I've been thinking about this some more. Now you said the one side warps but the other doesn't. Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the side of the chest like the front, where the UV map is mirrored thus you can't make a texture different on the left and right sides. If that is the case, the UV map would be exactly the same for both sides so there should not be warping on one side but not the other unless there were a vertex or vertexes that were missing or misaligned on the one problem side. Hmm.

Oh wait, you guys are using that dress mesh right, which isn't symmetrical. I'm thinking of the body chest mesh that Turjan, Silaria, Fariel etc have painted undies onto, apples and oranges I guess. Still, I'll have to see if Turjan had any problems like that with his undies.

Yep, there is warping under the arm that becomes noticeable when painting clothing directly onto the BB textures. There's also warping on the shoulder blades (making bra straps difficult to track a straight line for) and extreme warping above the breasts (making the front of bra straps next to impossible to track correctly ) And there's more warping just under the breasts around the sternum - that's possibly the most extreme of all, where a one pixel wide line smears out to about two inches wide (if you could measure it ingame - and not get your face slapped by the gal you were feeling up, of course ). Textures also bleed over onto the thighs from the groin, and distort markedly on the front of the groin - even moreso on the underwear wearing male meshes. *reads back over what he's written* Hmm...hang on a moment - can someone tell me again just why I decided to attempt a series of painted undies on the BB meshes?

But is the warping symmetrical and the same on both sides?
