A while ago i decided to resize some of the KP visual pack textures, mostly to try and help my game run better. Well it did mess them up slightly due to them no longer tiling neatly so now i have my new vid card i was thinking of reinstalling the original.
Thing is i don't like all of them so am looking for alternatives, i also use Carnajo's ones which i couldn't play without. I was just wondering what if any you lot use?
I shall probably end up sorting out what i do and don't like from the KP one again, it takes ages though as there are so may of them ;D

Well I use Carnajo's, make the game a little more inviting. I also have 'Green Morrowind' installed, which replaces the ash and rock ground with grass and the dead plants with live ones. Much nicer, I'm even considering moving into Tel Urivith ;D It doesn't replace any textures, so it's a tiny plugin.

Sounds nice but i'm not sure if that's too drastic a change right now, it's a great idea for after you've done the main quest though, like the earth is reborn after Dagoth Ur's death ;D I might do that once i've done the main quest again. Currently downloading Qarl's one to have a nose at. I like the flora in the KP one just not sure about some of the rest so what i did before was sort out all the plant and land textures and just installed those

I liked Qural's, but a few tiles did not match up and the odd textures were not to my tastes (it's a great pack, but everyone has opinions); in the end I'll probably go through them all and assemble one from all of them (not released of course). There's a french texture replacer which mixes them from many mods, it *should* be on Tele's list, I'll look it up when I get home if you don't find it. Also, there's this new guy called jarrod who uploaded his pack (pretty good, but not complete yet) to the Summit; just search by mod author...

Just had a quick play with Qarl's one, i reloaded the KP one then put Qarl's on. Then i redid Carnajo's as they do replace some of those. I agree Bravo, some of it i liked a lot but there's a few i wasn't too sure about, like an animal print bed i just saw, not really into animal prints much. In actual fact i like the original bed textures anyway, and the rugs and things as they co-ordinate and you know what i'm like for that I think what i will do is sort out the ones i don't like and remove them then leave the rest but like you one day i would like to make my own pack of all the ones i like most. It would certainly make life easier if i ever need to reinstall

Well i removed the bed and rug textures, i also removed one of the ground ones i wasn't sure about and replaced it with the KP one, then i went back in the game and thought "That looks really bland now" so i think it might be going back in again ;D Sometimes i think you just get too used to how things look and at first these new textures seem a bit much, it's amazing how soon you get used to them though and how strange it then looks without them

I also had qualms about on of the books that has a pentagram on it...though I think the look is great for Darkest Darkness or some other book, but not for ALL of the books that texture is associate with (I believe even the History of the Empire series?) ...hmm, Cali, maybe YOU'll do some rugs and tapestries *hint*

I don't stand a hope in hell of ever retiring from modding if you and Regan have your way "How dare you stop texturing!" Disclaimer: Please do not infer from my above post that i wish to retire, there's life in the old girl yet ;D

Well there's not much in it as far as fps goes, it's nice to see comparison shots though, but even so it's still not quite the same without Carnajo's on there too Speaking of fps, a few months ago i remade my little house in Pelagiad into a much bigger house and used lots of custom models and things, well since then i have had so much trouble moving about in there it's unbelievable, my fps is about 5 or less So seeing as i just bought myself Ghorak Manor i am currently relocating to Caldera, good job i have a pack donkey to help me carry my stuff ;D I like this house it has loads of storage downstairs, complete with my bb mannequins so at least i don't have to move those as Monica added them to her mod, plus the added bonus of Creeper to sell my bits too. Plus a working alchemy sorter too And best of all it has a decent fps I must say though getting the Donkey down in the basement wasn't easy ;D

There never seems to be enough room in houses for me and all my junk, trophies, companions, friends, partners, floozies, groupies etc. I've had to make a large velothi hall and put under Balmora ;D I'll have to have a look at one of those 'house in a bottle' mods so I can carry it about with me. Tomb raiding has never been so easy, with the new Travel-Mate Shack-in-a-bottle. Large enough for those barbarian drinking fests, yet small enough not to spoil the lines of your exquisite suit. Do you think there's a market

Well some of the new houses they build around here are bottle sized so i guess there must be ;D Well at present i have several houses dotted about, as well as the one i built i have Abu's Retreat in Pelagiad and Abu Manor in Ald'ruhn, plus the villa i built on the shores of Lake Amaya. Then there's the factors house in Raven Rock as well ;D How many is too many i wonder
