I don't know if you would be able to fit the scope and depth of dragonlance into a forum, with out it being a book in itself. Maybe we should start a new thread for it. And Huma was my fav, guess I am just a sap like that.

The basic story is the usual good verses evil. The gods have returned to krynn after a long absence and once again war has started.
Takhisis the goddes of evil has stolen the good dragons eggs and using magic created draconians, lizard like men, now her dragon armies are hell bent on taking over the world.
Paladin the god of good although appearing to stay away as he has no army has actually started a sequence of events that set the companions on a journey to save the world.
A long time before hand when the gods vanished the good dragons dissapeared as well it is up to the companions to find them and the fabled dragonlance to help defeat Takhisis.
There you go a whole trilogy in three paragraphs can't give too much away as it will spoil the fun if you read it.
It's a damn good read and you should try it. You need the chronicles trilogy first then the legends one about Raistlin and Caramon.

Thanks guys. I think I worded my question a bit wrong. I wasn't really expecting a description of the story, it was just that I didn't know whether you were talking about a book or a game. I see from Google, (which is where I should have gone first - I know , its both of those. Can you recommend a starting book and I'll order it through Amazon. It's a real pain out here, the nearest English book shop is 150km away!

First off you need the chronicles trilogy i have the single volume version but the three books are:
Dragons of Autumn Twilight Dragons of Winter Night Dragons of Spring Dawning
Then i strongly recommend you get the legends trilogy as well. These are called:
Time of the Twins War of the Twins Test of the Twins
These are the original books there are loads more including Dragons of summer flame which is no4 in the chronicles but is more the next generation of characters.
If you do get any more look for the ones by Margaret Wies & Tracy Hickman as they wrote these and in my opinion are the best authors of the whole series. Their other non-dragonlance books are good as well.

Hey, this is fun! Can't order any more books. I've just ordered 3dsmax 4 Bible and something called Quickstart 3dsmax 4 or similar. Anyway it's £50 including post and pack so I'll have to hold back on Dragonlance for a month or so! But thanks for the info.

No problem, it's our job! Speed typing? Actually, I have not even taken a typing class yet, so I type with two fingers...I'm rather slow, but hey, the DSL makes up for it!

I got a distinction for typing at school, i've noticed the more i type the faster i get. Now i use all my fingers again like i used to. Only trouble is sometimes i press the wrong key first as my left moves faster than my right.
