Brain shut down tonight.
My friend Zeca, (short for José Carlos, Zé-Ca), has just left having delivered 150 litres of red wine 2 1 euro a litre, that's about 45p a bottle! OK, it's not in bottles (yet) but that's an awsome amount of wine.
We *had* to try it didn't we. So we did!
I'ts really difficult to control your drinking if you'are drinki9ng out of a 25 litre plastic barrel! All I can say is that the wine is remarkably drinkable and I've prooved it by drinking much, much too much tonight.
Good night all. I get really maldlin, mawdlin, (come on you know how to spell this word...), maudlin, yeh maudlin when I'm drunk. Ihold everybody on this forum in high esteem. God I'm going to regret sending this but....
What the hell!

Heheheheh, I don't generally get hangovers too bad, which only encourages me. I also have good alchohol tolerance, as when I first started drinking properly (16) I always wanted to be able to get home on my own - other people become more unreliable when they get more drunk (Rob's inverse law of alchoholism)....
My girlfriend has only ever seen me badly drunk once in the four years we've known each other (although there was one other time when she wasn't there)... she gets through two+ bottles of white wine when she drinks with her friends and ends up mortalled the next day. ;D
Anyone who's ever heard these words will know what I mean:
"Uuuurrrgh, I feel siiick! Get me some water, pleeeease... and some toast."
Get better soon dude... though the quickest way to feel better is to have another drink. (I'm not a bad influence really...)

Very, very short one. ISP is playing up again with pages not available and loooong waits.
The saga continues:
I HAD just over 200 bottles of wine carefully bottled and put in the wine cellar. This is my wine for the year but this year.............
Yesterday Joao and Isabel from down the valley visited. "Zeca says you've got some good wine!" "Would we like to try some?" "Oh OK then, if you insist!" While they were 'tasting' the wine Carlos the Compute arrived with his new girlfriend. "Zeca said that........". "Oh shut up and come in!" Finally faded from view at some time in the morning. (Well they weren't here when I got up at 11:00)
Today the bl**dy English turned up at lunchtime. "Zeca said............". I got shot of them at about 5.
So, this is my last post until one of two things happen. Either the whole of the boozers in this part of Portugal manage to drink my entire stock of wine or, better still, one of them get their years supply in and we can all decamp to *their* house.
See you sometime then. I'm going to bed before some other b*gg*r beats a path to my door!

Cracked it! I've now found two others who've got their wine lakes in. The problems now start as I've been invited to got and try them!
What happens here is that each wine-grower *has* to sell to the local co-operative. But the price paid is really low so everybody who live out here in the sticks knows someone who can sell some illegal wine directly to their 'friends'. Some of it is probably best used for cleaning dentures but occasionally you'll find a cache of really good stuff. Zeca did just that and bought as much as he could get away with. Hence my 150 litres.
I doubt the English visitors would find me anyway, Cali. I hide!
The little stars which twinkled in my last couple of posts were specially put there for you.
However you will note that I'm sober. It's nice to be back!

Don't tempt fate Cali. I couldn't get in at first but eventually they picked up the phone! At this moment it seems to be OK. Tonight I'm going to have an other crack at d/l that land texture mod we were talking about.
