rule number one of the unmodified game....there is ALWAYS a cliff racer...get a good bow and sneak around...as some ashlander says 'there's nothing more satisfying than bringing down a racer with one well placed shot'...or words to that effect...

I love shooting stuff with the bow! The death scene animations are almost all better seen from a distance. Rats are about the coolest though!

...the latest entry is really nice; adds quite a bit of depth to the smugglers (I never thought of them like that), had a unique (at least for me) method of dealing with the quest and mentioned Cali (kind-of caught me unprepared so I literally laughed out loud)...

The first time I played I roared through that entry chamber...searched and killed and searched and killed...got to the locked door...opened it...battled through all the centurions and specters...had to come back with rising force to explore the water room building deep in the depths after again fighting through all the centurions...and was COMPLETELY disgusted when I finally noticed the second floor of the entry chamber building...I was so mad I quit playing for three days. On the bright side from first game on I have been the expert on Arkngthand...I know every inch of that place! A lot of my characters have used the lower levels to sharpen their skills...you can flat wear out an iron dagger wailin on a steam centurion!

That's the exact same thing that happened to me! However, that one ruin is the exception as most of the others are pretty dull and are explored in minutes... Also, I'm seriously thinking of raising the stats on dwemer centurions in my game... ...they're a pushover at a decent level, but are death for low level characters... And water room indeed! I didn't even KNOW about levitate (or spells for that matter, I was an archer and loved my little 'invisibility ability from the shadow but I thought that was it). I spent ages trying to jump up there, find a secret panel or get into a position where I could see what was up there...actually, I might make a mod that moves the cube up there...how's that for a first quest! ;D

Passer, again I must comment on your astounding detail! I love it...and again you show me something new in Morrowind. Up until I'd read your story, I'd NEVER seen that chapel/gallery tunnel... ...honestly, all the imes I'd done the quest and not once; I suppose I need to pay more attention to the ceiling and maybe peek over edges more (I think my mind must have filled in the pit as a small, empty pit... ). And peering over edges in Morrowind is a tad difficult

Not when you have wings of levitation ;D

It's hard to be really cocky about finding that shaft after having AB do his 'fly like a brick' move! Thought I was gonna have to reload there for sure. Gotta love that Morrowind healing though!

Wait, so that really happened to your character? I'd thought it was just to make the story combat more interesting...

Embarrassingly enough....yes. I remembered the bonewalker...he is always by the door...but completely forgot about the skeleton. And my boots, unlike Cali's wings, don't last forever. The switch from bow to ready hands finished just in time to hit the floor...I did leave out that I promptly hit the button and levitated for no particular reason...he had about five hit points left and going back up was out of the question at that particular moment. I was surprised...they really did leave the room to head down after me.
I think most of the combat scenes are fairly accurate. I used to be a sports reporter, and sort of rely on that for those.
