I just got sent an email with a zip attachment from an unknown source, my antivirus has not deleted it but earlier today i did get sent a virus and last week i got three.
I dont think i should open it just in case. It says "i don't bite" but i'm not so sure about that.
I have no idea if this is related but last week i downloaded aim and it's since then i've been getting these emails, it has never happened before. Has anybody else ever had this?

Hmm, what was it? I got one with info.scr (a screensaver?) from Argent from the Official Boards who makes Morrowind utitilies. I'm quite sure he didn't send it, but if he has a virus it can nab people from his address book.

this one was from firstlord@earthlink.net and was moreinfo.zip
the others were
thierry.lessig@wanadoo.fr and said the truth this was a text that norton deleted.
info@softprom.com jokes.exe deleted again
copyrightagent@incredimail.com another text file also deleted.
plus another zip file i cant find must have totally removed that one. these are still in my deleted items folder.
When pds went down HeWhoWatches mentioned hackers and for a moment i thought somebody might have got in and got there mailing list. I doubt it though. Do any of you have aim installed?

I was brave or stupid depending on your opinion, and opened the zip, after scanning it again first, it contained another exe file.
That i left well alone, i'm not that daft.

Well then, that sums it up for me, that msg is DEAD...muwahahaha...hmmm, "curiouser and curiouser", I wonder who sent it, I mean my email adress is visible and all, but yours Cali I don't think you have posted on the web for all to see? (do you), because if you have it posted, chances are a virus/spam bot stumbled across it and that's how you got it...

Bluefly is a clothing site, I subscribe to their emails. Hmm, it's probably coming from me and on my computer spoofing mails to people in my address book from other email addresses in my address book. Sorry guys. I used AVS and it didn't catch anything so I am installing Norton now.

Okay I found out it's a new virus (as of March 1rst) called Bagel.H / F-Bagel. There's a free utility here: www.f-secure.com/v-descs/bagle_h.shtmlMost virus scanners will also catch it but you will have to update them to the latest virus definitions. I suggest you two do that since it's possible you may have it if you are getting those mails. I'm running virus scan now so hopefully that will be the end of it.
