Found the origin!
1970 University of Utah Martin Newell created the wireframe model.
A colleague called James Blinn, (where have we seen that name, in max natch!), used it to experiment with different methods of surface rendering.
Still used to test different algorithms.
That's a very old teapot. Almost an antique so handle with care!

Interesting It bugs me that morrowind doesn't have stuff like that that's why i made some. Couldn't manage a kettle though, maybe when i get better at max i shall try again. Even adventurers need a cup of tea
