Ok, anyone here have any experience with this stuff? I'm trying to get my desktop to show up on my TV screen, I've hooked up the S-Video without a hitch, but all I see is the wallpaper. If I got into the Display Properties -> Settings, I can see that the 2nd 'monitor' is to the rigth of my primary monitor, allowing me to move things off my screen and onto the TV screen. Now, I'm wondering how I could get it to just display the laptop's desktop on the TV instead of just giving me another desktop... ...the computers at the school are all hooked up to show the teacher's desktop on the TV, so I know it can be done... ...anyone?

Assuming you're using an ATI card, right click on the desktop, select properties>settings and click on the 2nd screen. then uncheck the 'extend my destop . . . . ' box. If that doesn't work go into the advanced dialogue and fiddle with the 'displays' settings (Yes, the technically correct term is 'fiddle' ;D) On the old drivers there used to be a 'clone primary display' option

yeah it is pretty important what video card you have as each takes a rather different approach. But as Regan pointed out there should be an option for clone display under the driver options.

Yes, the clone primary display thing isn't showing up anywhere for me. Unchecking extending the monitor just makes the TV screen blank... I'm using a 64MB ATI 9700 Mobility with Omega Drivers...
