Ok, here are five varaints. The text is white because carrying those fancy effects around was very tedious so I will only add them at the end. Anyway, should I make the text even larger? ...what placements do you think work best? Is the entire thing really blurry then? ...or just the text because of the effect? ...dosen't the gold counteract it though? Please, don't be shy about being brutally honest, that's the whole reason I'm asking! ;D -Bravo

I like the layout on the first one best. As for the font, it's a little clearer when it's white but i still feel it's hard to decipher. Now i know what it says but if i didn't, and even though i do i'm still doing it, i find that instead of just reading a word i'm having to figure some of the letters out amongst the joined up writing then putting it together to make the word. does that make sense? normally you look at something and straight off it's a word but with that it isn't because the letters are not distinct enough, maybe it's just me

Photobucket is down, but I had a quick look before I left this morning I agree with Cali about the font, could you try something less cursive? when PB's back up I'll edit this for more useful input ;D Edit1: Not for me Edit2: Still no luck

Can you see mine? ...my server is img17.photobucket.com/albums/v51/Bravo_1/, what's yours? (your login page bookmark should tell you which imgX it is...)EDIT: Ignore that, I think everyone's photobucket is img17, more likely it's just the other thing I was talking about, the v#...

...and some fonts. I have more, but stuff like Poor Richard and Times New Roman seem too 'everyday use-y' to me...

Font wise I think high tower is best. I like banner 5 the best, it's nice to leave most of the sky clear, gives a feeling of space. otherwise number 1.

Monotype Corsiva looks nice and i've always like Lucida Handwriting It's flowing like what you had before but each individual letter is easier to read imo.

I was leaning towards #5 myself too, actually, however, font-wise...I think I'll look around a bit and see what else I can download as I'm not 100% satisfied... ...Cali, any particular aversion to #5? I also liked how #3 showed off the name in a more aesthetic manner, however, to me, something just feels a little offbalance with the text in the middle and a weighty image on one side... EDIT: here's a promising site, feel free to have a look around, I'm starting from A then going all the way to Z after I finish my homework... ... here is another site I'll probably take a look at too. This sleep experiment is really giving me more time to do stuff! ...we'll see how much I have to pay for it in the weekend though...

My vote goes to No 1 with Lucida Handwriting in a much larger font size with the gold shading inside. Does Lucida come in bold too?

I'll give that one a try Meb, the only thing annoying me is keeping the gradient aligned when I separate the layers (having a y, g, j, q etc warps the gradient, however, Bravo has neither in it so two layers' gradients look different; it just means I can't do things the quick and easy way). While I work on Meb's suggestion, more font possibilities. I'm liking that Alan Den one myself...(as you can see, I haven't really gotten past the C's yet... ) ...so many cool fonts on those sites! ;D EDIT: Ok, here's the Lucida test. I was playing around with the various outer glow options so ignore the wierdness of the white stuff behind the text... ...well?

It looks better, but it's not ultra claer. Might be my colourblindness If you could find a slightly clearer font it would be near perfect Still no PB. Angry Email sent to ISP this AM. NO reply ATM. Stop. ;D
