See my other post Regan, you may have to eat humble pie with your isp ;D Don't want to upset them too much when you've only just got broadband, they might send you back to dial up as punishment I'm not sure either, although i think it's the gradient more than the text now

What do you guys think of that Alan Den font instead? ...so is the gradient not 'contrast-y' enough? ...or what are your thoughts?

Er depends what you mean by contrasty, i think it makes it less clear myself That font looks okay, but in the end Bravo it's your site, we can offer opinions but it's up to you what you go with

As Cali said, it's your call Bravo.
I'm not fond of that Alan Den font, looks a bit rough, sort of thing that you find on one of those e-cards! But that's a really good site though!
My suggestion:
Use Lucida, make it even bigger, add thin hard white line round the text to set it off from the blue sky background. I really like the shaded 'old gold' effect.

Here's the Alan Den one...I can kind-of see what you mean. It isn't too Indiana Jones-ish is it?

No, it has that sort of 'greek' look to it, very classy IMHO

It is a bit unclear, what about a black fog behing it? or a black outline to the letters?

Hmmm very Greek, i still think it's the gradient making it unclear though. It's not standing out enough from the background especially on the lighter parts Sorry your :sick2: Mebyon, get well soon

Try a hard white line round the lettering. I think it's mainly because you hace a shaded interior against the blue background. (Just re-read what I've said. I bet it's not that simple to put a line round the text!)
Cold, not allergy. But it's laid me low. Couldn't get up for two days! Apart from the fact that I felt that Death would be better than slow drowning in mucus, (Yeuuurk!) I quite enjoyed being fussed over!

It's simple enough...I'll just have to figure out how to get a line AND the 'cloudy mist' effect... ...but I have a few ideas I could play around with...

Ok, the dark lines were making it look funky, but here's the latest. What do you think, still unnclear/uncontrasted? (I just messed with the text size and gradient positioning)

Better, but still slightly unclear Perhaps you could darken the gradient slightly Or darken the sky behind the text slightly (stormcloud?) And you could join in the website fun here ;D
