Come to think of it, I used to have Vixyn's version of the DDSplugin, but since I've reinstalled I'm stuck with the older one Thanks for explaining that, now I'll be able to point bemused would be texturers to this topic

Aye, I got it from NVidia. I do believe the elderscrolls main site has a link to it, I don't have it on hand Older version's don't have the options, meh... and DDS is sooo much better than TGA when you can save it with its alpha's. So much SMALLER. Small is good

Possibly because the DDS had mipmaps, effectively doubling the texture size Bravo, that link gives me the old (or perhaps newer) version of the plugin, which doesn't look like Vixyn's, but perhaps she has the older The plugin's have the version numbers on them Regan, I emailed you the version of teh plugin I have - I have a bad habit of backing evvvverything up, so, aye I had it on my harddrive. On a sidenote, where did you get the tutorial for masks and alpha's? I remember having it as a PDF, but it was on my dead harddrive, so I no longer have it or the link

Ooh, thankyou I can't for the life of me remember where I backed up the old plugins to Silver Falcon wrote ' The Comprehensive Guide to Alpha Channels' but that was on TESmods, I don't know where you can get it now It isn't on Summit. I'm sure I've got it backed up (I back everything up too - I just can't always remember where : I'll find it and email it to you

Got them, that's so much better I think Cali should write an alpha channel tutorial explicitly for clothing creation, it's not like she's got something else she should be doing ;D

ROFL. Actually, I was thinking of doing one and putting it on my site, myself. All of the good oldies are disappearing Makes it so much harder for the new people who want to start modding, aye?

Regan nuff said Vixyn, that's an excellent idea I guess i should do a clothing tut when i get chance, it's never really occured to me but even just setting up a new item of clothing is hard for beginners, just last night i explained how to do it to somebody at pds
