PS, Severian.
I presume you intended that your hair should be the "crew cut" style. If you were thinking of something else, please let me know.

Nope, you're right mate ;D I shave my head IRL, so it looks (fairly) close to the real thing.

Yeah - your Avatar's just come up (the real thing, I presume) - so your Morrowind version is a remarkable likeness.

Sevarian: Hi! Welcome to the boards here. I was planning on having you a Nord but with some Breton ancestry also who wears a kilt. Can you tell me which one is the correct one for the clan you belong to? Is it one of the ones in Silaria's pack? www.morrowindvisions.com/MWVisions_Clothing.htmAlso it would be nice if someone could help her with those sporrans, but my knowledge of physique leaves much to be desired. I'm of Italian descent so I know very little of kilts and tartans heh, but my sister married a MacBeth and my little 1 year old nephew is a MacBeth so I guess I should learn.

At the beginning of this thread, I posted (what was then) the basic plot synopsis.
In the meantime, and quite justifiably, we have moved away from the concept of the Queen being murdered in a "closed room" to having her murdered in an "open space" (although the "locked Throne Room" will still feature in the mystery). So here is an update of what we feel will be the definitive synopsis. Also included is some of the historical background prepared by Motoki and which isn't "spoiler" information.
On the basis of this synopsis, we'll be posting the full list of the "cast".
PLOT SYNOPSIS (REPLACES PREVIOUS VERSIONS)
The King of Helios Keep has died. You, the PC, are sent to investigate the King's mysterious death. At Seyda Neen they give you papers that identify you as some sort of Imperial dignitary paying your respects at the funeral (as a cover). There's a blade's agent in the Keep to whom who you will report in secret. You go to the Keep and in the Chapel the funeral is being prepared. Other guests have been invited and the Queen is found to be acting very strangely. (Immediately after her husband's death, the Queen had found the King's diary - containing most of the necessary historical background - and learns about a "secret"). Everyone is shown to the guest quarters, but the PC finds a mysterious note in his/her room, asking him/her to go to the Atrium balcony between 1 am and 3 am - where someone is waiting. Who is this and what do they have to say?
At 7 am, if you haven't already awoken, everyone is roused and told of the discovery of the dead body of the Queen beneath the Atrium balcony - obviously murdered. Now a magic barrier gets thrown up over the Keep (at the insistence of the Lord High Chancellor), with the aid of the Court Wizard, and all teleportation has been disabled until the killer is discovered. The Lord High Chancellor gives the PC the King's diary (which he found on the dead body of his Queen) plus the "Guest Book". There was a "Requiem" held the previous night for the dead King in the Chapel, and the LHC can vouch for the presence of as many of the staff and guests as can be excluded from being in the vicinity of the Queen when she was murdered.
The Queen is a cousin of Barenziah, and niece of the former King of Mournhold who died under mysterious circumstances recently (which some say was due to Helseth). Her mother was the younger sister of Barenziah's mother and the old King of Mournhold. Until recently she lived in Wayrest, taking advantage of Barenziah's status there to invite herself to be a lady of the court. Her husband she met while he was former Dunmer Ambassador to High Rock. Together they lived as well-liked examples of civilized Dunmer to the Bretons and although their return to Morrowind as rulers of the fairly recently constructed Helios Keep was tolerated - after all the Dunmer would rather have other Dunmer, even outlanders, than humans as rulers of the Keep - they were viewed as sellouts and imperial puppets by many, and were particularly hated by extreme nationalist Dunmer.
When the Queen and her husband were still in Wayrest, the King (then Morrowind Ambassador to High Rock) was caught spying on some of the empire's activities to the Dunmer Tribunal Temple. In particular, Vivec was concerned about rumors of Uriel Septim trying to obtain the Mantella and revive Numidium. As the Ambassador was about to go on trial, the Queen, desperate to save his life and their reputation, learnt that someone could solve desperate problems, but for a price. This someone agreed to help if she would offer up her first born child. Reluctantly, she agreed (despite the fact that elves in Tamriel lore don't have many children and some Dunmer have only one their whole lives).
When it was time for the trial, the witnesses all failed to show up and had mysteriously vanished. The Ambassador claimed it was his enemies who were trying to slander him, but without proof, and that the 9 Divines must have intervened to assist him. Since there were no longer any witnesses nor evidence, the trial had to be thrown out and the Ambassador's reputation was restored. However, the Bretons never trusted him after that and when the opportunity came to have him appointed King of Helios Keep and have him shipped back off to Morrowind, they jumped at the chance.
Now the "malevolent" helper knows the King is dead and it's unlikely the Queen will deliver a child, so he's come to collect another soul instead - hers. But was he her murderer? Or was it the Butler? You need to investigate the staff and guests to eliminate those innocent, to be able to report the guilty party to the Lord High Chancellor before he will order the magic barrier to be brought down and you, the player, can leave the Keep.

Motoki - The tartan does appear in the kilt-pack, I'm descendant from the Royal Stewarts (show homage!! j/k ). www.morrowindvisions.com/images/Kilt_01group5.jpgIts the one on the far left. I'd like to help with physique, but alas I know nothing about it and I dont have 3DSmax.. The character history sounds good to me, unfortunately its not possible to make it fit my actual size (I'm 6'3 and 240lbs) *LOL*...alas, I always wanted to be shorter so now is my chance! ;D

Nice synopsis, but the "Or was it the butler" sounds almost comical and random with the rest of that story. I'm sure there will be some sort of motive that the butler might have had to commit murder.

For Mantodea (and everyone else). The great idea conceived by MotokiMO & Vorwoda the Black (amongst numerous others ) for this mod is that it should not only be playable once, but replayable, differently, numerous times. Of the approximately 20 actors and actresses, apart from the odd few whom are completely above suspicion (the Lord High Chancellor, for example) ANYONE could be the murderer. But each time you play the "murder mystery", the way it's being scripted is that EACH time, the murderer will be someone DIFFERENT. So, just about everyone ends up being the murderer at some time or another, but whom it is when YOU specifically happen to "play the game" - well, that's what YOU have to find out!!

Just Curious, why Takahashi? It's as good a name as any. Definitely Japanese. Not sure if he's still going to be the agent or not but he is definitely a sensei.

Just Curious, why Takahashi?) my father's surname. I don't have a Japanese surname, my only jap name is Takashi (Hélio Takashi), which is a first name... yes, I have two first names (nipo-brazilian people usually are named like that: a brazilian first name, followed by a japanese first name). well, the char's name could be Hyrio Takashi, but I don't know if in Japan they'd use two first names. (did that sound confusing?) then again, there's not that much difference between Takashi and Takahashi, is there...? oh, and I'd be honored to be either a sensei or an agent. being both would be even cooler ;D

lol Okay agent sensei is cool then. Takashi Hiryo would work. I've never heard of any Japanese having two given names (heh calling them first names is kind of misleading as their "frist name" is last as most people probably know heh). I know the concept of middle names is pretty much unheard of but anyhow Takashi Hiryo it is then.

I dont think it was officially announced anywhere, so it's being done here now, but Kayleena (the last member to join the cast) is playing the role of one of the staff of the Keep as Court Alchemist (the one who mixes all the potions - some to make you "love", some to make you "high", some to make you "clever" and some to make you "die".)
