Some of you might know, some of you might not...but my main character is a Dark Elf Telvanni named Aristobulus who has risen to the ranks of Master in the House Telvanni (he did not wish to follow the magister -> archmagister path). Anyway, I RP (role-play) this guy to the bone and having participated in a few Tavern stories over at the Summit, I would really like to give him his home "Tel Volorith" ...trouble is, the game gives you Tel Uvirith... Anyone know of any way to add some *new* "path" to getting a stronghold or some idea (maybe a rival takes archmagister or something) that would allow Aristobulus to have Tel Volorith built for him instead... (I can't just remove Tel Uvirith, too many references to it in the game) ...so...ideas?

Well having just played the colony thing in Bloodmoon couldn't you do something like you get there where you get a choice as to which stronghold you want. In that you got to choose the position of your estate, i was a bit dissapointed with it myself it needs a major redecoration At what point do you get to have a stronghold built then, the rank you are at now? BTW i do roleplay my game as well, i just roleplay her with an extremely wicked sword Still get thrashed sometimes though There i am running through the snow fighting bears and wolves, the odd beserker and i get killed by a noble for gawds sake My fault for assuming he was weak just because of who he was, he had a very nasty ice mace and it hurt

To get it when you normally get a stronghold...
...the only trouble is that I need some kind of backstory/way to allow Tel Uvirith to get built too (maybe make some other guy be my rival and if I choose master he gets Tel Uvirith and I get Tel Volorith, while if I choose the path of Archmagister we end up dueling)...actually, that sound cool...but I'll have to work on my dialogue (scripting is easy right, just apply the same stronghold scripts right?).
Another Q: Is Tel Uvirith mentioned anywhere in dialogue as being YOURS (aside from the few jornals/dialogue bits partaining to it's completion)?

Not as far as i know, but then i never did the Telvanni one anyway, i always did Hlaalu for no other reason than i like the area better ;D I quite like your backstory idea, you could set up a duel in the arena Let's face it even factions have factions within factions er.......... i know what i mean, not sure if anybody else does

And if you go master, you should get to see your rival challenge the archmagister! ...that would kick ass!

You know that was something i never liked about this game, why should you have to kill them for the position, why can't they just retire The way i see it they must have been clever, or ruthless, to get there in the first place, it's a waste of their knowledge and skill that could have been passed on to others, but no they have to end up skewered or fried Am i taking this roleplay stuff too far now ;D, it's a game i know but these thoughts still go through my mind sometimes. Too many fantasy books that's my trouble

Greed, power, overconfidence and old age! These things make the older dynasts unwilling to give up their position, they'd rather die for it (they usually expect to win, as they are wiser and seem to forget that they're usually weaker than in their youth). The yoke of power is not one given up easily, especially when you live as long as the Telvanni, a century of power grows on you, you know?

Like a fungus ;D Good point but i don't want to have to get to the top of every faction by killing the people in my way all the time, i have in the past just stayed at the rank below so i didn't have to. Although in saying that i did just become the Raven Rock Factor for the East Empire Company by killing the current one, but only on the second try , anyway he was a bit of a pig ;D
