This is probably the wrong section to post in . . . .But I'm experiencing severe cranial overheating trying to get an NPC to say a particular line in a particular place. I thought the NotCell function would do this so the dialogue has "NotCell Tel Branora = 0" as a condition. I may be being a little dim but surely if NotCell = 0 then Cell = 1 ? ? ? I bet I'll kick myself once you explain!

Is this a greeting your trying to get them to say? if so then the best way is to use the talked to function. If you set it to Talked to PC = 0 they will say that the first time you talk to them, doing the same and adding 1 means they say that the second time and so on, not sure how many times you can do it though. If that isn't what you wanted can you give me a rough idea and perhaps i can help more

It's not a greeting, I have a companion who is looking for something but isn't sure where she left it. So I have set up a dialogue topic to ask her about this item. I want her to give vague responses in all cells except Tel branora or Sadrith Mora. I've got the vague responses working but I can't seem to get the specific dialogue to come up in these 2 cells.
Grrrrrr.

I take it you got the vague responses from the not cell function?
Well according to what i put in my tutorial it doesn't care what number you put it's the not cell thing that counts. So putting 1 wont alter the fact.
Have you tried setting the cell id under speaker condition instead of as a function/variable?
And yes i did have to look at my tut, i'm a bit out of practice ;D

I'm just *SO* stupid. Thanks Cali, that cell thing was so obvious, I think I've gone TESCS blind. I'll just go and check it works in game.
