Well so far all i've done is build a house, i might have known with my love for city builder games i'd spend ages just placing bit's round the house and garden, it's like i just don't know when enough is enough. But seeing as the available space is running out i thought it might be time to do a family instead ;D I did already sneak Mebyon of the ftp

I played first before I made a house and used the in game ones, but I've seen built onto the house and upgraded it quite a bit. I did make what I call an 'old lady house' a 1 story with aluminum siding and a flamingo and gnome out in the front lawn and lots of froofy floral stuff inside. I felt bad for the former-wife of the old guy Blanche seduced because I had her husband leave her and killed the two grandsons that were living with her by having them go up to the kitchen fire they started, so I moved her into the cozy old lady house, which had about as much as I could pack into it and still keep it under $20,000 (which is what you start out with). But then once she moved in, she had a nervous breakdown and a therapist came. :laugh4: later she threw a housewarming party and Blanche came over and they had a big catfight in the living room with the other guests cheering them on.

How you do all that i don't know, i'm having a hard enough time as it is, it's 1.30 and i've only just turned it off, one of the reasons i did finally give up was because Mebyon and the kids kept moaning ;D I think i might start again, and this time i'll buy a cheaper house so i have more money to furnish it better, Mebyon doesn't like the cheap beds ;D Mitchell on the other hand hasn't stopped talking, and if he's not doing that he's jumping on the bed! Oh and the house i built was over a 100000 so way out of my league but something to aspire too i suppose Well i guess i might get up sometime tomorrow afternoon after this, good job it's sunday and i can lie in

Well it's rough going when you start out until you get some money. Put their butts (the adults) to work right away and hire the maid and I suppose the nanny, though some of them can be iffy. Like you said, you don't want to get a house that leaves you with little leftover in the begining. so if you can, opt for a 14,000 or 15,000 simolean house over a 18 or 19,000 one. You can always upgrade later or move out. As long as the kids are fed and aren't completely failing in school the social worker won't come for them. Honestly, what helped me most was Blanche snaring the rich old man, so if one of your characters can woo someone else into moving in with you, they'll bring their assests with them.

Well one of Mebyon's aspirations was for a family member to get engaged and to have a grandchild, the fact he already had two didn't seem to count, you don't seem to get a lot of choice about the relationship do you so he had to be my dad, while the kids were mine. I've not long been up and it's nearly 12 o'clock ;D Somebody woke me ringing the doorbell but i didn't answer it, friends always use the back door so it obviously wasn't somebody i know and i'm not dressed yet so i ignored them ;D Half a day wasted though because i never went to bed, i totaly blame you for this Motoki, you and your Sims assimilation program, resistance was futile

haha lol well guess what I've been doing all day? I got bitten by the rebuilding bug and finally used that old man's money, my $17,000 house is no longer recognizeable as I added a basement, attic, patio decks on two levels, extended the second floor bathroom added a first floor bathroom, and in ground pool, zen garden etc. Took me a number of hours to do all that. Especially the basement which I had to end up reading a tutorial on, but it was worth it, it's an awesome house now.

Well i made myself stop so i could finish the dryads off but now i can play ;D Got the day off today so once i've done a few jobs my time is my own, i'm finding it hard coping with a family of four when i'm new to this so i'm going to scale down a bit, although the kids did get up to being teenagers. I like the way they grow with all the sparkly bits, and the party rocked apparently I did need to get the stereo fixed after it anyway ;D

haha you guys blew up the stereo. Well I'm up to 7 in my house Me, Chris, Kay, a new little boy Scot we adopted, Blanche, Armando the former mailman (who has now turned to a life of crime and is a con artist; time to charm the old ex-wife of the old man Blanche conned ) and their daughter Bianca. You can have up to 8 in a family. It's a lot to manage but what helps me is I pause a lot and check and see what everyone is up to and make sure they are up to something productive. It does slow your progress some, but it really helps manage things. Heh, when I left off this morning, you had called me up and we just became best friends and I got 4,000 aspiration points for it.

Well this afternoon i moved into a new house on my own, got the same job as a security guard and am now a policewoman, i also got married to a guy named Victor who works at the university, he wants a baby and seeing as i only have about 15 days left to becoming an elder my biological clock is ticking fast ;D I'ts alright for him he's younger than me i just hope he still likes me when i get old ;D I don't suppose you've thought to upload your sims, seeing as you've been playing with ours I really need to stop playing though, i've been sat here since about 1pm today and i finally decided i better feed myself, there i am seeing after my sims needs while i slowly starve ;D

lmao! I told you it was addictive. Well for me the current drama is Sharlene the nanny has been doing things like putting something in the oven and falling asleep while standing up after she did it and starting a fire, peeing herself and shaking her leg off while another nanny mops up the puddle under her, and passing out in her own piss, not to mention insulting all the house guests and poking them. Well she insulted Blanche so now she has to go. I could just fire her of course, but I am far more devious than that and have used my Mike character to befriend her and invited her to move in with us. Now all that needs to be done is arrange for her to have a little cooking accident. Since she has no family or other friends, I'll collect the insurance money being her closest friend and all. Oh, I've seen a lot of people on the Sims boards saying the Strategy guide is really good. I think I'll probably end up getting it. It's $20 us for the print version and I got a $3 rebate coupon with the game. Or you can get an E version for download from Prima's website for $10 US. I assume they take credit cards so you don't have to worry about exchange and such, and they have a sample chapter up on their site which has some useful info. estore.primagames.com/eguide_detail.aspx?prodid=EA1838As for my Sims, I put mine and Chris' up on the ftp a few days back in the same directory yours is. I'm suspicious of mine though as it's a different file type so if it's not right and they don't show up as premade characters (asterisk next to them) when you try to create and adult male then let me know. I guess I am also getting old since it seems I too neglected to tell you.
