Well once again i appear to have screwed up my game, just when i hit level two as well, i have doubling doors in my house and there are two versions of my khajiit companion waiting for me I know it's my own fault i just can't leave well enough alone and have to keep fiddling, i changed a mod in the cs and now it's messed up my whole game again. I hate this Well i tried to 'clean' my save but it hasn't worked so do i carry on and just disable the extra's or start again. Part of me is thinking i don't want to have to start again, but another part is thinking well if i do i can change this and that first ;D I'll never learn Has anybody else had this trouble and did you manage to fix it?

just been reading something about this in the ES forum Try this. Load game, cry at sight of doubling. Quicksave reload quicksave Apparantly it works a lot of the time but it's not 100%. Not tried it myself, but as soon as I see doubling you can bet i will. PS I apologise for the use of the swearword ES Forum...bugger, I typed it again

Well i'd just read that myself so i thought i'd try it, it did work sort of, it got rid of the extra doors but not the extra npc I even tried it again but he was still there I suppose i could just disable him now the doors are gone, i think they annoy me more than double npcs, there's nothing worse than opening a door only to have another door as well, i've had as many as three in the past I left my pack donkey in Balmora, wonder if she's twins as well now ;D

Yep ;D Just a quick tip for anybody disabling a doubled npc, when you open the console and click on them make sure to disable the one that says 02 as that's the duplicate. I was wondering if that's what the quicksave/load does, sometimes when you load a mod in the cs it says duplicate references removed, perhaps the quickload does that as well only seems to work on objects though.

Someone's nicked my donkey or if not i forgot where i left her ;D I could have sworn she was outside the mages guild in balmora but she's not there EDIT: She was in Ald'ruhn and thankfully she didn't have a double, i was worried she might as she comes with the house that had all the doors

Donkey jacking? Whatever next. Anyone steals my Pack Rat, I'm not going to be very happy. Pack Rats are Great. The only problem I find with them is when you get attacked, they attack the attacker, getting so close that when you swing your sword, they get clobbered as well Stupid bloody over grown rodents

Donkeys are cuter ;D i set her to run away and not attack but half the time she still tries to have a go Well at least i can carry on with my game now without having to restart, you have no idea how many times i've tried to start a new game the last couple of months only to have to restart for one reason or another

Everything seems to be okay now, so i would say that little trick works well for doors and stuff. Now my biggest problem is the odd crash like what just happened, i was doing the firemoth quest and luckily i'd just done a quick save when it went off. There was one room full of rats, i thought oh that's okay their only rats yes well when there's a whole plague of them it's not so okay i barely escaped with my life ;D Still made a change from skeletons

Yes it is, but here is still better Disclaimer: That is my personal opinion and you do not have to agree with me, but if you don't then just remember that i can do this ;D

I admit the Construction set one is fairly useful, albeit it gets far less activity than the others. But mods is egos and drama and BS and general is a cess pool.

I've never gone in general, think i'll keep it that way now Last thing i need is a cesspool, the smell's bad enough here as it is due to the farmer's muck spreading this week ;D

Just a tiny return to the original topic.
How exactly do you use the console to remove a doubled character Cali?
I've now managed to get the New Balmora stuff to load without error messages by putting one of every item it couldn't find inside a cliff face. I now have two small rocks, a hlaalu banner, a lamppost and a short flight of steps buried underground. Works a charm! ;D
Right, back to muck spreading. You will remember that we earned a load of goat crap by doing some English teaching. Went to have a dig to see if trhe dreadful smell has gone from the heap, it hasn't! ;D

Just open the console, click on the object or npc you wish to get rid of then type disable You've had that goat stuff ages now, perhaps you should have kept turning it every so often so new stinky stuff got on the outside ;D
