Wow is it going to have a little skirt to go with it ;D As for physique i've only done very simple stuff so far so not sure i can tell you anything more than the PDS tut which is what i've used Did you ever figure out those arrows or have you dropped that idea now?

Agh the arrows I found arrows with particle effects attached but they dissapear when fired unless you are in third person view?? so I gave up on that for now. I wish i could just play the darn game and stop fiddleing, but I cant! oh well I am haveing fun. it will have a skirt if all goes well but that will be a seperate part. here is a new screenie with a basic texture applied. I had trouble getting the texture looking natural, but then i realized all i had to do was lay my scanner on my chest and use that. HAA! I couldnt resist. and now my wife is laughing at me for even saying that. ;D ;D more tomorrow. I hope

my tips on physiquing are:
study the original torso very closely making sure your vertex points aren't too far off from them and then you just need to seperate the vertexs with the same value lock em and them allow only blue to be selected before proceeding
I did my armor physiquing in about 25 minutes from that method,
I find I spend much more time on texture alignment.

Very nice are you putting the crest back on the helm?

yep the crest is going back on. by doing it this way i can do all styles of crests. front to back like i had before, side to side commanders helmet. and a bronze crest for ceramonial.

I know physique can be a pain but I must say that armor and helm are quite nice. I wish I could model like that. I converted a couple of similar helms recently for MW and they turned out rather nicely. i had the texture map in Blinn and also set up as a reflect map and it gave a quite nice effect in game. The two helms I converted are from this site: spazioinwind.libero.it/grafica3d/models/models_e.htmApparently the second was based on some real helm from a museum. I don't have any pictures of the in MW at the moment handy, but I didn't bother to release it because A) I didn't make it and B) it's probably not the lowest poly helm in the game

Aghh reflection map!! thats a cool idea. how did you do that? every time i try reflection map, it works but it seems to overtake the entire base texture it get way to shiny. i even set the strength at 10. any tips on this one anyone

ok got the reflection map thing figured out. the darker the map the more subtile the reflections.

Sorry, heh you beat me too it, but yes darker is definitely better. Also the reflection map needn't be the same as your regular map so if it's still too bright you can always turn down the gamma or brightness some more. Turning the percentage down seems not to have any effect at all in my experience. Anyhow, it looks good, but I have to say from experience that still photographs do not really do that effect justice.
