This mod will add fireflys to Morrowind evenings and nights. There are 2 kinds those that fly and those that 'walk' on trees and such. Yes they do glow and light up their surroundings and each firefly is a model not a bunch of green dots stuck together I will put up some movies and will have a download soon! Screen!NEW BETTER SHOTS!!!!!!!!!!Screen!Screen!Screen!Screen!Screen!Screen!oh and I will need a couple beta testers namely: 1. an individual that has a computer 'lacking in speed' in other words barely plays Morrowind well. 2. an individual that has a ton of plug-ins installed to test for conflicts. you can post here if you want to beta test

I run about 10 esms and 70 esps, including Sabregirl's ecology (sort of animals balanced predator - prey ratio) I don't have giants or wilderness installed and I suspect it's those two which will be more conflict prone. I've got giants and wilderness so for testing purposes I'd be happy to get them running. My PC isn't exactly slow (AMD 2800+, 512Mb DDR400, Radeon 9550 256Mb) but wilderness really slows it down. Are they animated? Is there any heavy scripting (seems to affect my PC very badly)? They (Well, it looks fantastic, I'd like to beta test it (if you hadn't already guessed) ;D

no there will be only one little tiny script the rest is morrowind based stuff so the load is more a matter of the number of fireflys on the screen at one time. I am thinking of an area facing toward Hlad Oda with lots of stuff going on and adding a bunch of them there that would be a good test.
as for conflicts yes I agree giants and other creature mods would be the most likely to conflict. I am confident that there won't be any but I just want to be very thorough with it.
and yes you can beta test!

I have a slow machine ;D in theory it shouldn't be but it certainly doesn't play mw very well I don't have wilderness or giants but i do have 121 plugin's installed at present quite a few of those are Kagz animal ones which dot them all over the place, rabbits, foxes, bees, horses and waterfowl plus the more trees and foliage mod as well. That screenie looks great

Well Cali you didn't even have to ask...without your help this mod wouldn't even have happened so naturally you get to beta test... 121 sounds about right

I've got a normal machine, a normal number of installed mods but a tendency to break every mod I load, (ask Oldie!). It's never a fault in the mod just an in-built ability to muck things up. If you want it 'idiot proof' try me! ;D

I got a radeon 7200 32meg video card and a 1 gig amd cpu. It don't get much lower than that for Morrowind. I'd be happy to test it out for you. boredguestx{at}ignmail.com

wow a 7200...that is perfect for this kind of test I will add you as well. I think I have enough beta testers so this should be a good and thorough testing.
Thanks

have a look at the new screenshots above. Well I had 43 on the screen at one time with nary a hiccup...of course my computer is a beast so 1600x1200 was no problem however I am going to put 60+ on in the swamp and see how that runs then I will start passing that esp around hope I don't kill anyone's computer ;D

I like the new glow effect, far more like the real thing Do they land or are the sitting ones different creatures? Edit: Hit enter while typing. Tired hands, log fatigued

well no they don't bite they are so small anyway that they need no other actions.
I am struggling with a weird CS behaviour though.
Basically they each have a light in their inventory so that they glow and light up their surroundings. But it doesn't always work.
The interesting thing is that when they glow they are really visible even from far off. When they don't have the light on they look much more real where you kind of catch one out of the corner of your eye sort of thing. Its actually pretty cool maybe I should release 2 versions as some people may prefer that though I wish I knew what causes the light to sometimes not show.
