There's been some of the books in my book club mag lately, they seem to be having a bit of a revival. Got my links going, after a lot of trouble , perhaps i shall take a look at this and give myself a break from website building. Going to watch the boat race first, come on Cambridge ;D I couldn't even get out the room, it got bulldozered and the world was blown up how bad am i.

After a few tries I reached the pub, but got distracted by downloading all the other games...

Oh Wow! Yes I played these on a PC XT once!
PC XT. State of the art. 4.55MHz 8 bit processor. 10Mb hard disk. CGA monitor 320x200 pixels in 4 colours. 16Kb graphics card. Mind you there *was* a Hi Res mode, black and white 640x200! Ah yes! Those were the days...........

Isn't it funny how things have moved on so much in such a short space of time....
Clue: What has it got in it's pocketses? Gollum.
Lord of the Rings has absolutely nothing to do with it, that's just a dead red herring.

Lordy oh Lordy. (Which is what I thought LOL stood for!) It's all coming back to me! Soooo many ways to die, don't do the obvious, save every two lines and you'll get onto the Vogon ship! Drink in moderation and don't eat the sandwich!

Heh, heh! I played a number of those on my old Commodore 64. I remember playing Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and using the Infinite Improbability Drive a number of times, trying to collect all the bits needed to rebuild the machine to make real tea instead of "tea substitute". Finally got stuck for a while at the door to Marvin's cabin.

Ah, Mebyon - the days when your PC had a floppy-drive which took real "floppy" discs and one had trouble keeping up with the new commands in DOS as it went from V2 to V3! ;D

Apple IIE. No hard disk just a pile of external 5 1/4 inch floppy drives beside the machine. The more drives you had the more office cred you had! I, one glorious day, had eight drives arranged in two piles. Then the people who owned them came back from lunch and I had to give them back! ;D
Mumble, Mumble, can't find my teeth, put them down somewhere!

Hey, you guys - I've still got old lecture notes written on the back of Hollerith punched cards we didn't want to chuck out *he says, replacing the pile of cards underneath the HMV gramaphone to prevent its cone from toppling it over and taking out his slide-rule to calculate if the angle of inclination relative to the side-board is correct*
