Thanks for the very full and complete answer! I don't understand your comment, Regan, about her forgetting when I sleep though. Actually, that's a bit of an issue with this companion. She asks you once a day to find a comfy place to 'make love', ie have a kip! If you refuse her she loses 1 point of disposition each time! The problem is that if you agree you can't stop her following you and she always seems to ask at the most inappropiate times; like just before you launch an attack! I have a sneaking feeling that I may just park her by the bed in my hideout and go get myself a pack-guar. Not so sexy and useless in a fight but not such a pain in the proverbials either!

It wasn't a reference to your incredible 'lurv skills', Mebyon, rather the way Grumpy's script works. When you sleep the levelling script starts up and resets her skills to match yours. Not that I'm saying that a girl wouldn't forget a few things after a night with . . . never mind

Hang on. What you're saying is that the script makes her attribs the same as mine? So if I am 50 Marksman then she will be too?
No prob then. I'll do the player->set marksman 50 and have a night in the woods with her. Probably more fun than fiddling about with the console and a cheat as I don't carry a bow! Now giving her a fireball ring might be interesting as I'm up to 80 summat in Destruction!

I was thinking of Grumpy's original script, Erstam might have altered it considerably. Go and enjoy yourselves, then open the console and Get'whatever' just to check she's keeping up with you. she may have certain skills set high for the purposes of the plot Diane had a daedric long bow when I was on the island, maybe your companion had a club or other contusion causing instrument.

I haven't started it yet but are all the companions ladies? is it decided by your choice or factors of the quest who you get?

No, there are four dashing gentlemen to choose from, although the dialogue and disposition choices aren't as developed as they are for the ladies. You still get to 'do' whatever you want, and the story is the same so I should imagine it's almost as good. ;D

I tried it both ways. First with my uber Nevarine lady and then with the mangey level 10 mage. Erstam says that the mod is really about solving puzzles rather than hack and slash but, at level 10, I was hard pressed. (Ranged weapon Cliff Racers and seven of them at once? Come on!) The plot is the same it's just the nookey that changes! What's really nice is that he has brought out an esp that gets rid of the heavy scripting once you have finished the mod but allows you to keep some of the goodies including, in my case, an exceptionally amourous companion! There's a really clever walkthough Cali. The hints are white on white and graded so you can just get a little hint or a blow-by-blow solution to each puzzle. I recommend it totally! Now to go and look at my lady friend's statistics. Bet she makes more demands on me, I haven't seen her for a while as I've been exploring the prettier parts of West Gash!

Just a thankyou for the help on the console. I think that the script Erstam uses must be different from the Grumpy one. Little dainty Faye has a Marksman ability of 200, not my doing - honest!

Gah! I've forgotten the .ini line that allows you to click on 'Cancel' to mean 'Yes to All'. It's not 'yestoall=1' so, some clever person, what is it? OK, came back to me: EnableYesToAll=1 Brain not totally under my control tonight!

It should be AllowYesToAll=1, Argent has a very complete .ini tweaking guide on his site, which I can't find the URL for at the moment But if you find it, it should be very informative.
