...........exploring dungeons ;D We don't exactly have a thread for general game play talk, and i sometimes like to waffle about things that happen in my game, this often leads to other threads creeping into off topic territory so i decided to start a thread to put this kind of stuff So tonight i was exploring a cave i found near pelagiad, i've never noticed it before but i came into town from another direction and came across a smugglers cave. Naturally i went in ;D Well among the loot i found inside were 5 pale blue Kai Globes, 5 seemed a lot to me Anyway i activated one to see what it did and it was a feather spell, well i have absolutely no idea what feather is meant to do and i couldn't see any difference in anything with it active So would somebody who knows care to enlighten me please ;D I'm such a hack and slash player the only spells i tend to use are, heal, cure, mark, recall, levitate, water walk and breathe and open.

Feather is the looter's fairy godmother ;D It simply removes weight from you, so a 50pt feather spell would take 50 lbs? (are they pounds?) off your encumberance.

You'd probably be plastered onto the roof of the cave. Don't do it Cali :laugh4: . . . . . . . . Learning alchemy. Despite using plants medicinally in real life I'd never tried it in MW. but now, with my master's set up and a stock of marshmerrow and saltrice, I need never die again ;D Potions are really useful, you don't have to cast a spell, so you can fight, or even be knocked down on the ground when you take one. wish I'd started earlier now. . . . . . . . .Playing Lothavor's Legacy. Has to be played to be believed. It's an opulent orgy of scripting, and is incredibly stable. Totally refreshing gameplay, puzzles and NPCs. Only 1 drawback: Once you start you can't leave the island until you've completed the main part of the quest. Even includes dream sequences and a leopard shark What more could a player ask for?

I'm just going through again. This time I'm a male level 10 sort of mangy mage! Last time level 80 something lady thief who had done the whole Nevarine, Mournhold, Solthestien (or whatever) thing. Just had to try it again with the latest update.
This is what I had hoped Helios Keep would turn out like. Smashing eye-candy and a plot you can believe in!

I agree i'd hoped for the same thing with M@HK but it wasn't to be, besides we would have known who done it, not so much fun then ;D I hope our mod will be as much fun as this one, although it's in a different style to Lothavor's Legacy, after having run through it so many times though i think the dungeon won't be so much fun for me So your level 10 then, i leveled up to 9 yesterday. Perhaps i shall try the man again soon and see if he will take me now. I'm findng it a bit of a struggle playing morrowind, when you've done it before it's just not the same but i need to get better before i can tackle a lot of these quest mods, at present my low level char would probably die in about two seconds ;D Spotted a release thread at esf yesterday for a new dungeon quest, the person who made it has a few at his site and they sound quite interesting, not puzzles as such but you do need to find the key's for all the doors to progress and they aren't always near to the actual door itself www3.telus.net/public/xereau/ShrineOfWarMain.htm

IIRC, Erstam spent almost 2 years developing LL, so don't worry about the shop not being quite as sophisticated And anyway, I couldn't find anywhere to buy clothes on his island, what kind of a mod is that You have to be lvl 10 to get passage to the island, although you can swin (or coc ) there before you reach that level. I must get Kai globes, they sound fun

They are, i like Slates mods i also have his mystic scrolls and quills, tried to learn a spell off a scroll i found and it didn't work so in the tradition of all his mods it backfired and i got fried ;D I don't think i'll be spending two years on the shop ;D Well if i only need to be level 10 i'm nearly there, that's good news

I always feel obliged to finish any quests i take on, but i wouldn't say this was exactly a quest, i'm in Tel Branora at the moment and i spoke to some man who said that he wanted me to get rid of the woman and her cronies who are waiting for Therana, i wasn't sure about it so i went and spoke to her, she's not nice, then i went and spoke to Therana, she's a loony ;D Anyway i thought why not have a go, well after dying three times i quit ;D So much for his "don't worry about the ones in armour" they all started chucking spells at me. In saying that i've noticed loads of npc's chucking spells at me and a lot of them seem to have a paralysis spell. I've also got some odd bug that keeps making everybody hate me, i first noticed it in Gnisis, i travelled there by dragon rider and was going to go straight on to somewhere else but the gnisis one wouldn't take me, his disposition was 0, so was everyone else's in Gnisis. I had to bribe him in the end. Then tonight the same thing happened in Vivec with the boat to Tel Branora, i had to bribe him too yet i'd just come from Seyda Neen on the siltstrider with no problem

I don't mean to offend, but when did your MW self last take a bath, shower, mild scrub? I thought so ;D I'm surprised none of the 'neccessities' style mods naven't included a hygiene requirement, I have a similar idea (that works) for my ongoing WIP quest/comedy mod, with custom bathroom If you run back towards Tel Branora tower and leap about a bit they'll fall down into the moat and should be able to deal with them 1 on 1. Either that or get some fierce companions. I know a particularly vicious dunmer khajiit cross for hire

My char takes regular dips actually, maybe it's Rosie my donkey that's upsetting them, donkeys do have a smell of their own ;D Silly me didn't use my companions as i didn't want them getting hurt, so i tried to do it on my own

How's your marksman? I distinctly remember a level 5 Khajit running backwards while firing a crossbow...(strafing side to side helps when trying to dodge spells unless you're using a mod that speeds up thrown spells in which case you need to rely on their bad aim and luck). Did I mention hitting your targets while doing all this?

Well i tried to be sneaky and used my amulet of shadows, you know the one you get off that invisible man near Ald Velothi, and shot at the woman, it hit but didn't kill Need more mudcrab practice i think, i'm using a daedric bow so it has a lot of firepower but the tool is only as good as the person using it and this person is still pretty crap ;D Don't worry i'll get her in the end, i just didn't want to reload again last night, the more i do that the more likely my game is to crash, i guess there's a lesson there............don't die in the first place
