No idea i've never seen it. Perhaps it would help to import an existing weapon into your scene and scale it to that. You could copy the pivot position too so it's held right.

Cali. Your reply arrived just as I was reading a pdf tutorial I'd found ages ago. Not a clue where I got it from, it's called Modelling for Morrowind by Thanos if that's any help. He/she says that an average person in Morrowind is 128 Max units tall which makes a Max unit just over half an inch. I'll try 18 units for the knife length.

I didn't know I had to Generate Mapping Co-ordinates, whatever that means, so I didn't for the knife and it now seems I should've if I want to export as a nif!
Is there a way to generate them after you have created an object?
No worries if not. I'll just do the whole thing all over again!

I'm on the case........
Actually, I'm trying to embed gold wires in a sheet of rusty metal for my staff. It's not happening so I'll give it a rest!

Now got their website up and started to go through the instuctions.
I'll be back.

Damn i just deleted that myself or i could have copied it Okay import the staff using nif import then in the hierachy tab click affect pivot only. Using the move tool move the pivot up vertically a short way above the staff. Now save the scene then export, load the cs or your game and check the position as you may need to adjust it a bit more. I think that's what i said last time near enough.

Ive been working on the PDS tuts. Anyone know any other tutorials where they tell you every step? Because on most of the 3dbuzz ones, it says do this (something basic, but I dont know how) and then I cant do it. So It would be cool if anyone knew any familiarization tuts, or some Videotutorials.

Hi Tier, I know exactly what you mean - there's just so much to learn it's really hard to find out what's important when you first start. I find that having page of instructions to work through is a hundred times easier than pausing, backtracking and playing again a video. Have you d/l that pdf file I mentioned earlier in this thread? Save you going back and finding it, here's the link again: 66.106.110.151/Morrowind/Thanos_Tower/tutorials.htmlI found the first quarter and last tenth of that was worth it's download time. The rest may be interesting later. The last bit takes you step-by-step in making an axe. A bit different to the way Zenorf approached trhe problem with his gladius.
