I've just had a thought. (Well it's a rare happening, so let's celebrate!)
Trashy Morrowind Mod. They're so neat and tidy in Morrowind. Even my Uber Trader is called Timothy Tightarse. How about a mod that scatters rubbish all over the landscape; bits of paper fluttering in the streets of Balmora, empty bottles all along the Bitter Coast and at last a job for all those blue napkins!
Oh dear, wrong thread. Off topic AGAIN!

Yeah! That's good. But you have to clear *all* the crap rubbish from a give area and some of it is HEAVY and all of it is worthless. A lot is hidden and some is poisonous and ..............
Nah! Forget it. We'll wait for Tier to come back from his course and help him with the idea he started the trhead with!

haha =) I actually like the rubbish idea. Alrighty, so Is the consensus that I cant use the landscape editor for this? A static would work, but I was also thinking it would be super neat to have some water on it falling off in a big waterfall.... Has anyone ever played Chrono Trigger here?

No, but you could use the vivec waterfalls and just have it cascade over the edge. If you put loads of waterfall mist at the bottom it won't even need to reach water on the land, just look like it's evaporated. You keep putiing ideas in my head Tier and i haven't got time for them,or space. Now i feel like building one

Tier, you're really good at generating new ideas. I once went on a course where they said that every good team needs a lateral thinker to come up with new ways of doing things. They also said that you needed someone with their feet on the ground to keep putting up objections to the ideas and someone techie to put them in practice. They gave these people odd names like 'facilitator' and 'gatekeeper'. As I wasn't really paying attention I can't remember much more! I'll leave the individual members to identify themselves with the roles! Me, I'm putting in 'dummy'!

Only joking ;D The reason this intrigues me so much is because of this painting. It's a flying citadel from dragonlance, they were castles ripped from the earth by magic.

I know.........shame really as it would be so cool, especially if you could make it float around Vvardenfell.

I don't see that there's a problem here. (But then, that's probably because I'm being a bit thick!) I went into the Editor and had a look at the Vivec Prison Moon. OK it's a static but if you import the nif from x\Ex_vivec_prison_moon_01.nif into Max and delete all the clutter, it's just a big sphere distorted. So why not creat a huge sphere, flatten it, make it good and lumpy on the bottom with some interesting hills and twee dells on top and use that as the basis for the floating continent? I'm not sure how the MW engine will cope with the overshadowing, (maybe it will just ignore it?) but you could 'float' that anywhere over the landscape. A few rocks and trees and the waterfall you mentioned Cali. Should be just what Teir is looking for? As for driving it around the sky. Collision detection may be a bit iffy! Please tell me if I've got this all wrong!

Sounds good to me ;D i don't think the floating will work though, you can move stuff with scripting but moving a whole continent, and all the stuff on it, is a bit too hard.
What you said would look good from below kinda like the painting. Whether that's what Tier had in mind though i don't know.

I can't remember whether Tier was thinking of driving the thing around like massive Intergalactic Battleship. If he's happy with it just hanging in the sky with sexy waterfalls pouring off it would the huge static idea work?
I also wonder if there is a limit to the size of an object you can place in a cell. If it was bigger than the size of a cell then which cell would it *be* in?! Scratches head, goes muttering off to try an ENORMOUS pancake in Max!
