I have another family on the go right now, basically i made them so i'd have a love interest for Ben, it's the little girl talking about woo hoo in the picture thread, first day at school she bought a friend home and it was Ben Anyway as he's now a teenager i'm currently playing Josie's house to age her, well her parents wanted a baby so i thought okay. The mother was sick about 5 times the first day, i've had my other sim be sick once but never that much, i just gave up trying to get them to clean the toilet in the end till she'd finished being sick She had a little girl i've called Jane, this mother doesn't work as i decided she can be a stay at home mum instead of getting a nanny. I've started her painting to get a bit of extra money, so more scary cat paintings then ;D I did read on the sims forum about pregnant women being sick and that somebody thought that meant a girl. My other sims have been sick as well, Cali was sick once that i definitely remember and she had two girls, this one was only sick with the twins and one of those is a girl. But then i've read loads of stuff there speculating on babies sexes and whether you can make them get twins, i'm not sure any of it actually means anything Any of your pregnant sims been sick then?

Some of them get sick more than others yes. I don't even know how many pregnancies I have had now. :laugh4: I think Blanche was sick a lot the first time, it was a girl. I also tend to get guests coming over my houses who are either pregnant or have food poisoning and who throw up in my toilets and make them look extremely disgusting. And I have several crazy people that come around that talk to softballs or hold flour sack babies. I don't know what made them crazy in the first place, I guess they must have seen a fire and had a fear about it while they were at one of my houses or something like that since guests can still gain or lose aspiration. Thing is, if I don't get around to playing their houses (and there's one house of a bunch of adults I really only planned to be marrying stock lol and not play) then they stay forever pregnant, sick or crazy.

I did notice a saleperson at the food store was using his hands as puppets and making them talk to each other ;D This game does get more complicated the more sims you have to take care of doesn't it, i miss the good old days when it was just me dancing solo in front of the stereo with no worries, now i stand their wringing my hands and looking worried hoping my kids will be okay My game is also getting more choppy as well, i know that the amount of sims you can invite to a party depends on your system but it seems that the more sims in a house slows it down as well. If all my family is home and maybe there's some guests or the nanny, gardener, maid or whoever as well it's really bad Still i've asked santa for a new video card this xmas so perhaps that will help

Yes that should help. I have a pretty decent system and video card, but I still get slowdown sometimes when there's a lot going on. Particularly in that Mike and Chris house with 2 floors plus attic and basement packed with stuff and with 8 people living there plus the maid, nanny and gardener who come over sometimes. I notice it most when I throw parties haha. I've actually thrown parties with over 20 people! The max it lets you invite initially when you do the party action is 8, but I just keep calling more up. When Blanche lived at that Monty ranch she had some really wild parties going on there.

When i do it i can onbly have 2 I have a slightly different problem with Josie, she's about to become a teenager, her parents want to throw her a party but as i haven't played the house much they actually have no friends yet and no relationships high enough for anybody to accept. It seems kids can only call other kids which is a right pain and they can't throw parties either Only thing i can do is play my house and let them get to know that family better then go back there so i can throw her a party and put my plan into action of getting her and Ben together But first i have to go to work

Oh yes that got sold straight away, for 200 as well Ben has got acne ;D I let him sneak out with that girl, Tiffany, i thought he was going to get caught as his Dad was almost awake. I was watching him creep along the path and watching the Dad hoping he wouldn't suddenly wake up but he made it. Whatever was wrong with Kim's nose seems to have sorted itself out, it's still not very large but at least she has one ;D

Some of my teens get acne, if you use the mirror you can have them use acne cream which helps get rid of it after a while (I usually have them use it a few times but I think it takes time too).
Kim looks a lot better now, I am glad she sorted herself out.
2 of my kids in the Mike and Chris house have turned into teens so it's getting easier. I tell you when I had 5 child age kids running around I felt so crazy and when they went to school it was so peace and relaxing that I always cherished that time! lol Just like a parent I guess.
I had Sharlene go on a shopping spree for herself, the teens and for some old guy clothes for Chris and Mike sim in anticipation of them becoming elders soon which I am going to just let them this time. I think I went a little overboard because I ended up spending over 35,000 on clothes. :laugh4:

OMG that's just crazy :laugh4: You must spend a lot of your game time changing outfits ;D Thanks for the spot cream tip, i never would have known that

Well I downloaded all that stuff so I might as well used it. As long as I don't move, the stuff will always stay in the closet for future generations. It just bugged me that several of my teens had the same outfit on when they aged.

Have you seen that painting that will make all the meters green? I'm not sure how i feel about things like that, sure it's hard sometimes to get all the sims in a house happy but that kind of thing i feel will take some of the challenge out of it. I have used the energizer a couple of times but as that's an in game reward i don't consider that cheating, the only cheats i've used so far are aging off/on and the money ones, i've never used the money ones on my main family just the incedental ones i use for breeding purposes ;D that sounds so bad

I have finally got rid of that dirty plate I moved it from across the road again and put it on a table hoping that maybe somebody would pick it up, they didn't, when i went to move it back across the road i clicked the table instead of the plate, normaly it says cannot delete with object on but this time it didn't so i tried deleting the table and it went plate too And somebody stole my gnome but Jessie went and stole it back again ;D

I don't want to use that energizer cheat, what's the point? I DO wish the coffee gave a little more energy than it does though. In the first sims it would be no means fill the energy bar all the way up, but it at least made a noticeable difference.
